New Zealand Entry Information

Entry into New Zealand

Vaccinations

Travellers do not need proof of COVID-19 vaccination to enter New Zealand. Please check with your airline or cruise provider as they may still require proof of vaccination. If you have COVID-19 symptoms when you arrive in New Zealand by air, we encourage you to take a rapid antigen test (RAT). You can get free RATs at the airport. For the most recent information please visit the COVID-19 New Zealand website.

Traveller Declaration

Everyone travelling to New Zealand by air must complete a declaration, and receive a Traveller Pass, before they travel. Review the details required and link to the form here

Visitor Visa (Non-Australian and Non-Visa waiver countries):

All visitors will need to apply for a visa and provide evidence of your ability to meet the criteria for entry. Applications can take up to 3 months to process so please ensure you apply for your visa well in advance of your travel. If you are transiting via another country, please ensure you check their visa requirements as you may require additional visas.
